“I used to live in a room full of mirrors; all I could see was me. I take my spirit and I crash my mirrors, now the whole world is here for me to see.”

–Jimi Hendrix

Just because you love the purity of blues guitar, doesn’t mean you should frown upon speed metal players.

Just because you are a speed metal player, doesn’t mean you should scoff at the purity and simplicity of a blues guitarist.

We are all just doing what we love to do and share it with our audiences. Besides, if everyone played the same, music would be boring as hell.

Open your mind to all forms of music and try to figure out why it is appreciated. You might notice how some of your favorite players have forged their style from completely different styles and made it their own.

When you open yourself up to new experiences and change, you might just be surprised at how much you grow as a guitar player.
