From what I’ve learned, the best guitarists/musicians place more emphasis on being a great musician rather than being just a guitarist. They can make their guitar sing* even at blazing speeds; it’s just something you can hear throughout your whole body. You know when you just hear some solos, they don’t even have to be guitar, but you sorta get goosebumps from it? (Unless its just me and I’m crazy… I ‘ know?)

Anyways I’ve got some advice for those of you who want to be more than just a ShredFreakSpeedDemon and be able to utilize your technical ability to give your guitar a VOICE more than just a sound.

When you’re practicing your scales, SING ALONG WITH THEM!* Just try it. You’ll notice after starting out slow and gradually getting faster that the notes in your head almost instinctively come out of your fingers.
