Hey, all you guitar players and playettes! We are working on developing an independent label presence featuring our supporters and friends. We are still in the very, very early development phase but would like to just see who all might be interested. We have noticed that there is an insane amount of talent out there that isn’t getting the credit and visibility that they deserve.
We would love more than anything to help out as many musicians as possible. There really is just too much sh*t on the radio and on MTV today that just makes us sick to our stomachs. Of course, this is just an idea right now and who knows exactly how far down the road this could actually materialize. With everyone’s help and support, it definitely would move a lot faster.
Our vision is to have a marketing and promotion tool to help guitar-oriented music of all genres reach a wider audience and cultivate the audience it already does have. It probably would be something similar to the Favored Nations label, but with more of a focus on new talent that hasn’t made a name in the music industry yet. In other words, it would be about creating opportunities.
Well we would love to hear your thoughts about this and any ideas or advice that you guys might have!
Thanks Guys!
-Jeff

I think it is a grand idea, and I agree with the similar label tactics, not being what guys like me are seeking. I have heard HUNDREDS of guitarists in more than a few chat rooms, that would probably dig the idea as well. Opportunity is the key word here, I will give whatever support I can to the cause. I see big things in the future for this site, and the people involved in it.
I would definitely be down to exploring what this new “label” idea could do.

I totally agree with anekretia. A record label would be an excellent idea, I would certainly be interested if the idea came to fruition.
