What’s that sound?! Oh, it’s just somebody dying a slow, horrible death. The Mrs. Film Scoring Project defines the word creepy. In fact they should put up a disclaimer on their Myspace page:
Do NOT Listen to While Alone in the Dark!
The Mrs. Project was created amongst four musicians/engineers for a friend’s independent film, THE RUBY SCORPION, a (MIKE WIKE FLIKE).
After finishing The Ruby Scorpion, they started this company THE MRS. Keep reading to find out more about The Mrs. Project and to hear some audio clips of their work, which are all done by utilizing the Bass and Guitar which are accompanied by ambient beats.
The Mrs. Project’s personnel includes:
- Albert Ruiz -Bass
- Jason Erwin - Guitar/Engineer
- Patrick Brogdon-Engineer
- Ernest Instinct- Beats
Interestingly enough, The Mrs. Project never saw any footage of the Ruby Scorpion before composing and tracking. After the director conveyed his ideas, Jason, Albert, Patrick, and Ernest knew they wanted to come up with something eery and creepy.
The resulting tracks that came from these guys were haunting ambient masterpieces.

I really can’t comment until I see the visual action with these effects. I hope their sounds work well with the visual aspects. For me, this was like ICE in one hand and CREAM in the other, neither does much for me unless their combined, as icecream.

Watch a clip from the film to experience how The Mrs. was utilized in the film. (Not all music you will hear in the clip is The Mrs. (Such as the surreal zydeco music WITH VOCALS) Keep in mind The MRS. has no vocals and is always dark and ambient, and you will make the distinction.

Edit: I just realized that in this clip there are NO VOCALS in the zydeco music. So to make the distinction between that and The Mrs., please just keep in mind that The Mrs. is always dark and ambient. Whereas the zydeco is very up-tempo and “happy,” cartoonish, clown music.

The Mrs. has ALOT OF good tunes, just like MIKE WIKE described it as, YOU REALLY have to go to their myspace and enjoy it.Nothing you have heard before, their doing their OWN thing. THEY DESERVE ATTENTION.
