Number 1 Reason People Fail in the Music Business (Or Life)

Besides from sucking, (although there are many exceptions to this) the number 1 reason people fail to achieve what they want in life is simply one word:

Find out what it is by reading more….

Commitment

“…The basic philosophy, spirit, and drive of an organization have far more to do with its relative achievements than do technological or economic resources, organizational structure, innovation, and timing. All these things weigh heavily in success. But they are, I think, transcended by how strongly the people in the organization believe in its basic precepts and how faithfully they carry them out.”

-Thomas J. Watson, Jr., A Business and its Beliefs - The ideas that helped build IBM

The most important single factor in individual success is COMMITMENT. Commitment ignites action. To commit is to pledge yourself to a certain purpose or line of conduct. It also means practicing your beliefs consistently. It also means working on your guitar skills, promotion skills, and networking skills. Things maybe you don’t like doing.

Demonstrating commitment is a tough job. Wavering commitment is usually seen as no commitment at all. The only way to achieve a reputation for commitment is through determination and persistence. Genuine commitment stands the test of time.

When you demonstrate commitment, you will find yourself getting more calls for session gigs, better paying touring spots, and more music success in general.

Let’s face it. The music industry is full of some shady mother f***ers. Stand out from the crowd. The number one thing that will set you apart is your commitment and reliability.

This holds true whether you want a career as a studio guitarist, or creating your own path.

Commitment

Commitment also means a willingness to look for a better way and learn from the process. Open your mind to new thoughts, ideas, and methods of taking your guitar playing to the next level.

Open your mind to new concepts that have nothing to do with guitar, yet will still benefit you and your music career.

Being Lazy and blaming others is easy.

Commitment is a challenge.

You up for it or what?

You may have a point here, as with everything in life, if you don’t commit to it, you won’t stand a chance.

Well,i am always 110% in what i do.
Do or don’t,there’s no try…my motto.

Sometimes people seem to be frightened by my behaviour.i cannot be blamed for being fully in what i do!
I think those people are just lazy asses and it’s a shame ‘cuz most of them got really great musical ideas, but are way too lazy to play it with their very soul.
