Cool Guitar Video (Beatbox with Groove)

May 16th, 2008 · Posted by Jeff · 3 Comments

This video demonstrates a cool concept that I think is a great way to set yourself apart as a musician. Mixing and fusing different elements from unrelated genres results in some cool new ideas that can set your style apart from the rest of the guitar playing herd.

What do you think?

Is that really “beat-boxing” or just the same, repetitive boom-chick-spittle done to guitar playing? I truly despise white guys who put a hat on crooked and try to be “inner city”. Annoying as hell. Didn’t hate the guitar playing, however.

Sounds like some has some issues…

Let’s not hate on anyone here. We are all on the same team.

Anything one can do to set himself apart from the crowd is valuable. In my opinion I would take more notice to someone beat boxing while playing guitar than to someone just playing guitar.

Everyone should check out some YouTube Videos of Raul Midon. He does this crazy “mouth trumpet” over his amazing rhythmically complex guitar work.

The result is something truly unique and attention grabbing.

In fact, I am going to post about it right now!

A lot of that sounded great. Yes the Raul Midon style is impressive too. ‘State Of Mind’.
