Here is a great clip of one of our past Featured Artists of the Week, and former Brooks & Dunn guitarist, Charlie Crowe doing what he does best. This is a great guitar version of Little Wing, and you will see why Charlie has had such a great career playing music!

Well, he plays great, but it’s not his version, it’s “Sting’s version”…he plays Hiram Bullock’ solo note for note…

Do we really need another version of this classic ? - its becoming Jimi’s Stairway or EVH - Eruption. There is nothing original about this stuff. This is a waste of time and web space. Charlie is a good player and this tune is a knock off for him. Who knew Brooks and Dunn , a country act would have Hendrix represented? Well we’re selling McCartney CDs at Starbucks and you can’t find a good guitar solo on any of the new Rock releases. except Sonny Landreth - now that CD screams! Now the caffiene kicks in.

I recently saw Marc Cooper, a DIGITECH clinician do a wicked rubato version of Little Wing. Check out some of his stuff on youTube.

Oh my god, that makes me want to stab myself in the ears with a rusty nail. Call me back when you have a video of him playing without an FX rack on a cheap acoustic guitar. If he sounds good then, I might think about giving him the time of day.
RIP Jimi, though somehow I doubt you are.
