What & Who Do You Want Featured?

October 8th, 2008 · Posted by Jeff · 2 Comments

Ok guys, I’ll admit it.  I didn’t have time to get the Feature together for this week.   I apologize.  It was my birthday weekend and needless to say, I had a little too much fun!

But, the good news is that I found a tool that could be very useful if implemented into your own music marketing strategy.

Find out what your fans and non-fans think about your music!

Find out what your fans and non-fans think about your music!

The site/tool is UserVoice.  Do your fans want you to record another album?  Would they rather have one that sounded more like your premiere album, or one that allowed you to experiment with your own artistic vision?   Want to find out what their favorite songs are and why?

Let your fans and visitors brainstorm ideas for you on where to gig, what effects to use, what gear you absolutely need to try out, which promo pictures make you look like a sex symbol and which ones make you look like this.  (Sorry fat gross guy!)

Anyways, I am sure there are all sorts of ideas on how you could customize it to suit your needs.  And it is free!

In our case, we will be experimenting with it to hopefully have you guys give us some good feedback:

  • What direction you want this site to take
  • What articles you want to see on here
  • Who you want to see featured
  • Any interesting guitar news you are hearing about
  • Business ideas for collaborating with GPZ
  • Who is hotter, Jessica Alba or Jessica Simpson
  • Etc. Etc.

So let’s get this thing going and start jumping in please!  Here is our direct forum link:
