“We find what we expect to find, and we receive what we ask for.”
-Elbert Hubbard

Hear the news about the band incorporating itself as a company and getting $100,000 of funding?
Pretty crazy, right?
Essentially the band Francis and the Lights received investments from The Normative Music Company to keep doing what it is doing and stay completely creative, something that could have been hindered if the band were to sign to a major label deal.
One thing I see a lot of musicians and guitar players worrying about is “what is the best way to get what you want, achieve your dream, reach a goal…”
Well, it sounds cliche, but the best way to get what you want is to not be afraid to ask for it.
It doesn’t hurt to try. The worst that could happen is that you will be in the same situation as you are in right now.
The best that could happen could be you finding yourself one step closer to living the life you have always dreamed of.
Take a chance. Be risky. Go out and ask for what you want.
PS. Be yourself and be polite!
Double PS…..Keep on asking until you get what you want

OK, let me try…
Please sir, I would like a combined tuner/metronome/beatbox because I can’t fit three separate boxes in my guitar case.
Thanks in advance,
Gary
