Worldwide Launch – Monday, March 9, 2009

Six String Bliss, the longest-running guitar-centric Podcast on the Internet announces the release of Big Screen Bliss, a collaborative effort by members of their listening community. This project features cover versions of Movie Theme Songs (or songs featured in popular movies) selected and performed by various listeners.

Big Screen Bliss will feature 14 songs performed by an international community of artists, with submissions coming from 7 countries. Each of these submissions is the work of members of the Six String Bliss Forum. This is the third such project produced by Six String Bliss, the first being 2007’s A Blissful Christmas, which was followed up last Fall with Stay Tuned, a collection of TV Themes. This project will include songs from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Footloose, Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop, Mary Poppins, The Magnificent Seven, Rocky, Pirates of the Caribbean and many others.

According to Pipes, co-host of the Podcast: “Movie soundtracks are designed to be pure emotion. They are designed to make you feel. This was a perfect fit for the Six-String Bliss community”. Stated PT Hylton, the program’s other co-host: “One of the most rewarding parts of putting this album together was seeing the growth of the musicians in our community. This album is focused, confident and just plain fun!”
