If you want to become a great guitarist, don’t just play the notes, feel the vibrations of the sound produced by your guitar. Experience the emotion the music is creating on you and get that feel. This feel will make you stand out among others, and those listening to you will also be swept by the feeling your guitar playing creates on them. Even if you are playing something simple, if you are putting your soul into that note, it’s going to connect with the audience moreso than a barrage of notes with no feel. Learning to create the feel is not a very difficult task, you just need some practice. In no time you will find yourself making some great (or not so great) guitar faces like these:

How To Feel The Music:

1. When you are listening to songs on your CD/ Album, your attention is grabbed by just one or two songs. You can feel the passion and emotion of the composers along with the song. For experiencing the feel of the song, close your eyes and let your emotions flow with the tune, concentrate on the tune and absorb it through all your senses. This is the most important guitar tip for beginners: to feel the vibrations of the music being played
2. Try to create that feeling within yourself. Try to know what exactly you are feeling. Love, passion, anger, pride, happiness, sadness; what emotion is being stirred by that song. Let the emotion sweep all over you, feel the music within your head, heart and soul.
3. After that, start playing your guitar. Don’t play a song you already know, just play the strings and feel the sound coming from it. Visualize yourself in a situation designed by your imagination. You may be sitting on a mountain top with rain lashing you down. You might be on a beach with the water waves lapping at your feet; you might be with someone special amidst the greenery of the forest. This guitar tip for beginners—to get the feel of the vibrations and associate it with a visual goes a long way and with a little practice, it’s not only easy but also enjoyable. It transports you to a different world, a world full of music, and your favorite setting, free from the time wrap!
4. When you are in the process of creating a new tune or song, don’t go by the written words or tunes. Use your imagination and be creative with your tune, try putting the feel within the song that will stir the emotions of the listeners. Feel the vibrations of the tune you are playing and let your emotions flow naturally with the music. This feel, this emotional touch of the song will provide the X factor to your tune, which will have the capability to appeal to all music lovers.
